Use it by keyboard, and by ear
DeskCalc speaks its results, reads back your keystrokes, works entirely from the 10-key, and scales up for low vision. Here is what the app supports today — stated honestly, with the gaps named.
Spoken results and keystrokes
DeskCalc can say each result out loud, and — if you switch it on — speak every key as you press it, at a speed you set. The running total is something you hear, not only something you read.
Full keyboard & 10-key operation
Every calculation runs from the numeric keypad the way an accountant expects, with keyboard shortcuts for the main functions. The core workflow needs no mouse.
Zoom and a large display
Scale the display and tape up for low vision — big, high-contrast figures, an adjustable font size, and a result line sized to be read across the desk.
Where we stand
We’d rather tell you exactly what works than claim a badge we haven’t earned. The features below are real and in the shipping app; the gaps are things we are working on. If you are evaluating DeskCalc for a public-sector or enterprise purchase and need specific conformance details, please get in touch — we’ll give you an honest, current answer.
